George Washington's Mount Vernon estate was located in Mount Vernon, Virginia. After inheriting Mount Vernon from a half brother, George Washington made this his home in 1959. Not long after, he married Marth Custis.

The house had a spectacular view of the Potomac River and Maryland countryside. The estate was eventually expanded to encompass more than 8,000 acres.

Washington set up a grain mill, vineyard, fishery and beautiful gardens in addtion to the different crops of tobacco and wheat that were grown there.
